JV Lions defeat La Grange Leopards 14-7

The Junior Varsity Lions scored a hard-fought 14-7 victory over the La Grange Leopards at Lion Field on Thursday, Aug 28.

After a night of hard hitting and fast running the JV team celebrated their victory. Game highlights included strong plays from both the defense and the offense.

Dylan Messerly scored twice with eff

ective blocking from the line. Brooks Pittman kicked extra points and was a force on defense along with Lawrence Brite and Howard Berry. Berry also caught an interception.

The Lions did an outstanding job of holding the Leopards back. La Grange did not score until the last four minutes of the game.

The JV Lions travel to Gonzales to face the Apaches on Thursday, Sept. 4. Game starts at 7 p.m.
