Hilda Mercedes Abcede

Hilda Mercedes Abcede, M.D., 66, of Lockhart, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009, in Nashville, Tenn.

Dr. Abcede was born in San Juan, Manila, Phillipines to the late Domingo and Concepcion Abcede.

She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Tavernier; and her sisters, Carmelina DeLara and Concepcion DeLosSantos.
She was preceded in death by her parents;

and her brothers, Oscar and Renato Abcede.

Dr. Abcede was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Visitation in Lockhart, where she sang in the choir. A graduate of the University of the East, Manila, she was well known for her passion for pediatrics, extreme patience and giving personality.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Visitation. Rosary Services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Visitation.
