Robert Hernandez, Sr.

Robert James Hernandez, Sr., of Luling, passed away in Austin on July 10, 2009. He was born in Luling, Texas, on May 22, 1964.

Mr. Hernandez worked as a machine operator for CAL-MAINE Foods.
He is survived by his mother, Martha Gonzales, of Prairie Lea; his daughters, Kimberly Nicole Hernandez and Keri Ann Hernandez, both of Luling; his son, Robert James Hernand

ez, of Luling; his sister, Belinda Gonzales, of Prairie Lea; his brother, Gonzalo “Nunie” Gonzales, of Prairie Lea; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at St. John’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 9 a.m., with Father Robert Becker officiating. Interment followed at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were Placido “Fox” DeLeon, Ricky “JJ” Rodriguez, Jamie Nieto, Guadalupe “Lupio” DeLeon, Little Ricky Rodriguez and Lupe Basquez. Honorary pallbearers were Isaiah Jai Davila, Jasian Davila and Andrew Davila.
