Lady Lion soccer defeated by Corsicana

The Lady Lion soccer team took on Corsicana on a cool, wet day this past Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Lockhart Junior High Football Field.
Despite the rain soaked field, the Lady Lions jumped out to an early 1-0 lead from a goal by Krystal Laws with an assist by Brianna Hinnekemp and Ashley Simon.
Corsicana struck back with two goals in the first half, and added two

more in the second half to bring the final score to 4-1.
“It was a hard fought game, and the Lady Lions had several shots deflect off the posts, but were unable to net another goal,” said Coach Tina Bazur.
