7th Grade Lions perfect at 5-0 on season

Lockhart’s 7th Grade Lions, both the A and B squads, are unbeaten at 5-0 on the season.

The Maroon (A) Lions beat Goodnight Middle School of San Marcos, 32-0, the same score by which the 7th Grade White Lions (B), won their game.

In the Maroon victory, Lockhart Junior High Head Coach Willie Boyd credited his top performers as Malakhi Reese, Joel Garcia, and Demonte Anthony.

In the 7th Grade B victory, Boyd praised the play of Jerry Peralez and Larry Garcia.

LJHS’ 8th Grade A team lost to Goodnight, 21-0, while the 8th Grade B team lost, 24-6.

Lockhart’s 8th Grade teams played Seguin AJB on Tuesday and will play at Gonzales Oct. 24.
