Jean Hefley
Jean Hefley, 86, of Lockhart, passed away on Nov. 4, 2009, in Lockhart, Texas. She was born on Dec. 16, 1922, to Emmit Franklin Bruton and Allie Parker in Abilene, Texas.
Mrs. Hefley is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Phil Hefley, and three sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ted Jones; sons: James Michael Hefley and wife, Cind
y, of Portland, Texas, and Will Hefley, of Costa Rica; sister, Pat Baldridge, of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren: Kymberley Zamponi and husband, Dax, and Frankie Hefley; and great-grandchildren: Alyssa Hefley, Presley Zamponi and Graham Zamponi. She was blessed to have several nieces and nephews in her life as well.
For the past 15 years, Jean lived in Lockhart and was a member of the River Bend Baptist Church of Austin. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises but, most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
The family received friends beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, Texas. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at McCurdy Memorial Chapel in Lockhart, Texas with Rev. Hulan Bass officiating. Interment followed at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.
