Sandra Lynn Price (Sandy) Perkins formerly of Lockhart was born August 12, 1946 and passed away from Ovarian cancer on January 16, 2026 at the Christipher House in Austin. Sandy was the daugher of Eldon and Thelma Price and is survived by her brother Rev. Dr. Brent Price of Pasadena, California his wife Beverly and their daughter Brittney Rose Price Kostenko of Austin. Her sister Cheryl Price Pany her husband David of Temple and their two sons Bart and Brett Pany.

Sandy and John Perkins were married on December 3, 1966 at the United Methodist Church in Austin. Their children are Kelly Perkins of Dallas and son Michael Perkins and wife Leslie Perkins of Austin. Sandy had five grandchildren. Kelly’s children are Nicholas, Morgan and Ellison of Dallas and Michael and Leslie’s two children are Everett and Peyton of Austin.

Sandy’s family moved to Austin in her Junior year at Lockhart High School and she graduated from McCallum High School and later graduated from Durham Business College. Sandy was highly active in the Austin community for more than 45 years. She was active in the Austin Junior Forum-Caswell House, Chairing fundraisers for the Wild Basin, Texas Youth Ranch, Austin Symphony League, Ballet Austin, Center for Child Protection, The Settlement Club and many others to numerous to mention.

Sandy created Austin Social Planning and she coordinated hundreds of weddings, social and business events, celebrations of all sorts that needed the that exquisite touch that only Sandy could provide to any and all of the events she managed. Sandy loved entertaining and was a great cook and was heralded for her fabulous biscuits, cookies, cakes and particularly her Christmas Cookies!

A Celebration of Life was held for Sandy in February and she will be interred in the Lockhart Cemetery alongside her Mother and Father.
