Bennie Lopez Oballe, Jr.
On Monday, May 2, 2005, Bennie Lopez Oballe, Jr., 58, of Austin passed away suddenly. We lost a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle.
He was born on March 22, 1947 to Bennie Oballe, Sr., and Maria Lopez Oballe in Lockhart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Oballe, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Terry Z. Oballe; hi
s beloved children, Barbara Garza (Luis); Chris Oballe (Priscilla); Jerry Oballe (Susan); and Bennie Oballe, III; his grandchildren, Christopher, Mathew and Mitchell Oballe and Ashley Garza and one great-grandson, Isaac. He is also survived by his mother Maria Lopez Oballe, of Lockhart; brothers, Paul Oballe (Lupe); Freddie Oballe (Dora); Johnny Oballe (Christina); sisters Beatrice Rodriguez (Blas); Mary Frances Aguilar (Mike); Carmen Oballe and Lydia Cortez (Tony) all of Lockhart, and Rosa Gutierrez (Greg) of Abilene, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Honoring him as pallbearers are his nephews: John Andrew Zavala, Anthony and Robert Oballe, James Ortiz, Michael Aguilar and Ralph Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Oballe, Jr., Greg Gutierrez, Jr. and Adam Castillo.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m., at St. Mary”s Catholic Church in Lockhart, with interment immediately following at St. Mary”s Cemetery.
