Walter Ray Schuelke
Walter Ray “Bubba” Schuelke, 66, passed away on Jan. 24, 2012. He was born in Austin, Texas, on Dec. 23, 1945, and attended school in Lockhart and Luling, Texas. After he completed high school, he joined the Coast Guard in November of 1964 and was stationed in Astoria, Oregon. He resided in Astoria for four years.
Mr. Schuelke is survived by his wife, Pam Schuelke, of Vi
ctoria, and his two sons, Sean and his wife, Jessica, and Korey and his wife, Nicole, all of Luling, Texas. Also surviving him is his sister, Darleen Davidson, of Lockhart, and his brother, Donald Schuelke and wife, Laurel, of Alpine, Texas. He is additionally survived by a stepson, Ryan Wolf, and a stepdaughter, Alison Wolf, both of Amarillo, Texas.
His dad, Walter Earl Schuelke, Jr., of Lockhart, also survives him as does his uncle, Leonard Schuelke, of Lockhart, and aunt, Stella Barrington, of Belton, Texas. He is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Schuelke was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille May Schuelke, and a stepson, Aaron Wolf.
He loved farming and the outdoors. He was a retired fireman and was stationed in San Marcos, Texas and Victoria, Texas. He had recently relocated to Amarillo, Texas, with his wife Pam and her family.
Services will be held graveside at the Jeffrey Cemetery in McMahan, Texas, on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at 10 a.m.
