NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:
ZC-13
-04. A request by Edward P. & Anita Strayer for a Zoning Change from CMB Commercial Medium Business District to RMD Residential Medium District for Part of Lot 4, Block 48, Original Town of Lockhart, consisting of 0.47 acre located at 217 North Blanco Street.
All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of this property wishing to state their support or opposition may do so at this Public Hearing; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.
In the event that property owners should desire to protest the action of the Planning and Zoning Commission, they must: (1) file their written protest with the City Secretary on or before five days prior to the Public Hearing before the City Council; and, (2) the written protest must be signed and acknowledged by the owners of at least 20 percent of the land included in the proposed change, or by owners of at least 20 percent of the land area within a 200-foot radius of the boundary of the proposed change. To be a valid protest, both conditions (1) and (2) above must be met or the petition will be rejected.
The City of Lockhart City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at
7:30 PM in the lower level of City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio, Lockhart, Texas, to consider this zoning change request, the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and valid protests if any.

Public Bid
Surface Preparation and Painting
The City of Lockhart is accepting sealed bids until Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 2 pm, from qualified painting contractors to prepare and paint (using external latex semi-gloss) all external painted surfaces of the City Hall building located at 308 W. San Antonio Street, including all roof overhangs and exposed external planter box walls.
Qualified contractors are strongly encouraged to inspect project closely prior to submittal of a bid. Questions may be directed to Lee Weatherford, Public Works Director. Bids not received at City Hall by the specified time and date will be rejected.
Successful bidder must provide certificate of insurance for workers compensation and general liability coverage naming the City of Lockhart as an additional insured at no additional cost. Workmanship and materials must be guaranteed for one year from date of acceptance.
The City of Lockhart reserves the right reject any and all bids.

ORDINANCE 2013-08
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LOCKHART, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 64 “ZONING”, SECTION 64-203 “NONRESIDENTIAL APPEARANCE STANDARDS”, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO CLARIFY THE INTENDED MEANING OF CERTAIN TERMS, AND TO MAKE OTHER CHANGES THROUGHOUT THE SECTION AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING A REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
PENALTY: Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined as provided in Section 1-8 of the City Code.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LOCKHART, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 46 “SIGNS” OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO MODIFY THE STANDARDS FOR MARQUEE SIGNS IN SECTION 46-10 “SIGN-TYPE STANDARDS”, AND TO ADD A CROSS-REFERENCE IN THE NOTE FOLLOWING THE TABLE IN SECTION 46-11 “ZONING STANDARDS”; PROVIDNG FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING A REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOCKHART, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 22, FLOODS, SECTION 130, STORMWATER RUNOFF DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS BY ADDING THAT ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT, IMPROVEMENTS OR REDEVELOPMENT OF PROPERTY THAT ADDS 6% OR LESS SQUARE FEET OF INCREASED IMPERVIOUS COVER, BUT NOT MORE THAN 2,000 SQUARE FEET OF IMPERVIOUS COVER, SHALL BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH CHAPTER 22 EXCEPT AS APPROVED BY THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT; PROVIDING A REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Lockhart ISD is accepting proposals for installation of additional security cameras at multiple campuses in the district. Box 120, Lockhart, TX 78644. The will be a Pre-Bid meeting on June 13, 2013 at 10am at the LISD Administration Office located at 105 S. Colorado, Lockhart, TX 78644. No faxed or emailed proposals will be accepted. Lockhart ISD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
