AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LOCKHART, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 46, “SIGNS”, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES; REVISING SECTION 46-7(9) TO MODIFY THE REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO EXEMPT POLITICAL SIGNS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING A REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION;

AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING
The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 8, 2010, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:
SUP-11-07.  A request by Bill Butler on behalf of Albert Contreras, for a Specific Use Permit to allow an Eating Establishment (not of the drive in type) on Lot 20, Block 1, Revised Trinity Addition, zoned CLB Commercial Light Business District and located at 1201 Pancho Street.  The applicant proposes to add a new covered patio to the building.  The existing restaurant is a grandfathered nonconforming use that is normally allowed only as a specific use in the CLB district.  It cannot be expanded unless it is made conforming through approval of a specific use permit.
All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of this property who wish to state their support or opposition may do so at this Public Hearing; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.
Should any person be aggrieved by the Commission’s action, a request may be submitted in writing for an appeal to City Council.  Such request must be submitted to the Zoning Administrator (City Planner) within ten calendar days of the date of the Commission’s action.

TERMINATION OF MEDICAID PROVIDER AGREEMENT

On June 01, 2011, the Medicaid agreement between Century House and the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services relating to the ICF/MR facility’s participation in the Title XIX Medicaid Program is to be terminated, unless the facility achieves compliance with the Medicaid requirements prior to that date. The cause for Medicaid termination is that Century House does not meet minimum health or safety standard required for Medicaid program participation. The Medicaid program will not make payments for ICF/MR services furnished to residents of Century House, on or after June 01, 2011.    5/26 6/2 6/9

Clean up Scheduled for
Lockhart Municipal
Cemetery
New Section, Blks. IV, V & VI
A clean up of the new section of the Municipal Cemetery will be performed during the week of May 30th, 2011. It is recommended that items left at sites be removed prior if there is a desire to preserve these items. Items of value will be held at the Public Works office for a period of one week at which time, will then be disposed of. The City of Lockhart assumes no liability for the removal of items which violate the Rules and Regulations per City Ordinance/Code.
All cemetery plots will be video taped prior to clean up to identify the existing conditions. The rules that apply to the New Section; Blocks 4, 5 and 6 will be enforced from this point forward. Flowers will be allowed to remain for a period of five (5) days after internment and will be removed on the sixth day at no liability to the City of Lockhart per City Ordinance 99-14; Sec. 14-32.
