Lady Lion soccer improve winning record in district
The Lady Lion soccer team traveled to Dripping Springs on Friday, Jan. 27. Despite a hard fought game, the Lady Lions fell to Dripping Springs 7-0.
Lockhart was led by solid performances from junior Ashley Simon and senior Christine Amaya.
On Tuesday, Jan. 31, the Lady Lions looked to rebound against the Lehman
Lobos.
Lockhart kept constant offensive
pressure during the entire first
half. With the first-half clock winding down, the Lady Lions put their first goal on the board courtesy of senior Krystal Laws.
The Lady Lions wasted little time in the second half. Sophomore Brianna Hinnekamp netted two goals early to extend the lead to 3-0.
The final goal of the game came off the head of sophomore Kara Casteel with the assist credited to Amaya.
The Lady Lions have a district record of 2-2-1.
Their next battle will be against Cedar Park Vista Ridge on the road next Tuesday, Jan. 14. The next home game for the Lady Lions will be Thursday, Feb. 23, against Del Valle.
