James Cardwell
James William Cardwell, 73, of Lockhart, passed away on May 24, 2014. He was born on July 7, 1940, in Luling, to Walter W. and Annie McCurdy Cardwell, Sr.
Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014, at the Lockhart City Cemetery, and then a memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home.

Bill was one of my good friends. We went to A&M together and spent a lot of time in high school. He was a fine gentleman and will be missed.
Bill and I were A&M Classmates. He was the student commander of the Corps of Cadets in our senior year, 1962. He was a genteel person with a diplomatic manner of speaking and will be missed.
