William Key, Jr.
William Claude Key, Jr., 80, of Luling, passed away on July 3, 2014.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1933, in Fannin County, Texas, the son of William Claude Key, Sr., and Dorkas Faye (Rushing) Key.
He married Wanda Lou Williams on June 11, 1963, in Lubbock, Texas. She preceded him in death in 2004.
Mr. Key was also preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Clara Margaret
Rogers and one brother, John Key.
He is survived by his daughters, Roberta Faye Lankford, of Lockhart, and Rhonda Kaye and Ricky Hebbe, of Fentress; sons, Ervin Claude Key, of Nevada, Ronald Lynn Key, of Luling, and Terry Joe and Debbie Key, of Harwood; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Louise Goodson and Della Martin, both of Lubbock, and Mae Hargrove, of Denton, and brothers, Donald Ray and Vickie Key, and Mickey and Wilma Key, all of Lubbock.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014, at O’Bannon Funeral Home, with Jimmy Lammers officiating. Burial followed to the Ralls Cemetery in Ralls, Texas, where a graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8.
