Ida May Pohl

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Ida May Pohl, age 96, of Ezzell, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, May 25, 2006, surrounded by her family. She was born May 31, 1909 in Real County, Texas to Calvin and Annie Bell.
Ida May married Henry Joseph Pohl on Aug.16, 1931 and they had six children: Henry Orien Pohl of Ezzell, James Alvin Pohl of Ezzell, Annie Ruth

Wagner of Fayetteville, Jesse Allen Pohl of Ezzell, Ida Ellen McKalip of Austin, and Mary Alice Raschke of Lockhart.
Ida May was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Susie Anderson of Luling, Texas and one brother, Artie Bell of Burkburnett, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and seven of her siblings.
Ida May graduated from Sabinal High School, then went on to receive her teachers certification from San Marcos College.
A celebration of Ida May”s life was held at Kubena Funeral Home on Monday, May 29, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Terry Bell officiating. Burial followed at Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Pohl, Karl Pohl, Stephen Wagner, Aaron Pohl, Brian McKalip and Brent Raschke.
