LeVerne Arnic
LeVerne Arnic, 93, of Dale, died Oct. 24, 2014, at home surrounded by family.
He was born Sept. 1, 1921, to the late Garfield and Mary Arnic. LaVerne and Ollie Sanders (deceased) were united in marriage in 1946 and to this union two sons, Donel and LaVerne Arnic Jr., were born.

ee sons, Rickey, Neil, Douglas, and one daughter, Julia Vernell Arnic Richardson, were born.
He proudly served our country first, in the Civil Conservation Corps (CC Camp), and later in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he was assigned as a guard of Japanese prisoners-of-war on the Island of Okinawa.
LeVerne was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield and Mary Arnic; son, LaVerne Arnic, Jr.; daughter, Julia Arnic Richardson; four brothers: Andrew, Henry Thomas, Athaniel Daniel, Odell; and sister, Pearlie Mae Arnic.
Precious memories of LaVerne will forever linger in the hearts of his wife, Lottie Mae Arnic; sons, Donel (Teresita) Arnic, of San Antonio, Rickey (Betty) Arnic, of Lockhart, Douglas Arnic and Neil Arnic, both of Dale; sister, Esther Thompson, of Lockhart; three granddaughters, Vanessa (Luis) Arnic Gutierrez, of Phoenix, Ariz., Danielle (Brian) Clark, of Austin, and DeAndrea Arnic of Arlington; two great-granddaughters, Miley and Kiley Clark; son-in-law, Phillip Richardson; and many other relatives and friends.
A service will be held at Dale Corinth United Methodist Church, 1825 FM 1854 Dale, Texas 78616, on Saturday Nov. 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. All arrangements with Eeds Funeral Home, 408 S. Main St., Lockhart, Texas. (512) 398-2343.
