Alice Reeves

Alice Reeves, 71, of Red Rock, Texas passed away on Jan. 22, 2015. She was born on March 25, 1943 in Niederwald, Texas, to Gus and Ella Kanemeier.

Her first 20 years of marriage she was a dedicated Army wife. She loved to spend time with her family, cooking and crocheting. She also enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing, and tending her gardening.

She was preceded in death b

y her parents; her brother, Gus Kanemeier, Jr.; and her son, Billy Reeves, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Billy Reeves; three daughters, Jeanie Kirsch (Bruce), Carolyn Hendrix (Phil), and Marilyn McGlothlin; one brother, Leroy Kanemeier; one sister, Lillian McDonald; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home from 1 – 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at Delhi Cemetery in Rosanky, Texas.
