In loving memory of Altagracia Herrera Torres, a remarkable woman whose life wove a tapestry of love and devotion. At 91, she leaves behind a legacy steeped in commitment and loyalty, having devoted 60 beautiful years to her marriage. As a devout Catholic, Altagracia actively enriched her faith and contributed to her church community.

Renowned for her impeccable fashion sense and unwavering determination, Altagracia embraced life with grace and style. Her warmth extended beyond her family, generously sharing love with everyone she encountered. A beacon of humor, her laughter resonates in our hearts.

Altagracia found solace in gardening, nurturing beauty from the earth, and basking in the sun’s warmth on tranquil afternoons. She leaves behind a loving family, including her brother and sister, Natividad Herrera and Catarina Salinas, sons and daughters-in-law: Richard [Maggie Torres], Juan [Charlotte Torres], Sixto Jr [Margaret Torres], and daughter Carmen T. Gonzales. Her legacy thrives through numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death, Altagracia reunites with her beloved husband Sixto Sr. and dear son Gabriel Torres. May their souls find eternal peace.

Recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024 at DeLeon Funeral Home. The funeral mass, officiated by Father Ed Karasek, will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery following the funeral mass.

During this challenging time, may the enduring spirit of Altagracia—her love, laughter, and resilience—provide solace to all who knew her.
