Anna Emaline (Crain) Brewer
Emaline Brewer passed into the presence of the Lord on May 28, 2009. She was 86.
She was an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation, a resident of Lockhart since 1947 and a member of the First Lockhart Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren C. Brewer, in 1978; her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Brewer, in 1952; daughter-in-law, Adette Brewer
; sisters: Elda Bingham, Alice Van Atta, Mary Call and Martha Crain; brothers. Floyd, Lewis, Paul and T.O. Crain; and her parents.
Emaline was born on Feb. 26, 1923, in Centralia, Okla., to Faires and Emaline Barker Crain.
She is survived by her brother, Willis H. Crain; sister, Trudy Peart; son, John Calvin Brewer, of Austin; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mike Scott, of Grapevine; grandchildren: Russell Ohlendorf, Jennifer Brewer and Clay Brewer; four great-grandchildren, and a number of great-great-grandchildren. She was surrounded in love by numerous other family members including: Pamela Ohlendorf, Angela Kinney, J. T. Nettle, Lisa Heard, Michael Scott, James Scott and their families.
On Aug. 8, 1939, she married Warren Brewer in Miami, Okla.
Visitation was held at McCurdy Funeral home in Lockhart from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009. The funeral was held at McCurdy Funeral Home 2 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2009, with burial at the Lockhart City Cemetery.
