Annabelle Patton Collins passed away in Houston Dec. 3, 2005, after a courageous battle with Parkinson”s disease. Funeral services were at Woodlawn Funeral Home Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005 with private burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Montgomery, Texas. Annabelle was born Jan. 19, 1933 in Caldwell County, Texas to James Oratio Patton and Dolores Ballew Patton. She graduated from

Lockhart High School in 1952, and started work for Southwestern Bell. She retired from Southwestern Bell after more than 30 years of service. Annabelle is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John P. Collins, her parents, Mr. And Mrs. James O. Patton, brothers, Herman, Carl, Marshall, Allen, Thomas (Pete), Jack, and Billy Joe Patton, and her sisters, Katharen Riddle, Oma Newsom, and Eva Tullous. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Derr, Paula Collins and Laura Kunze, as well as three grandchildren, Jonathon Ryan, Annabelle Kunze and Frances Kunze. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
