Anne Lamb, 74, passed away Friday, July 21, 2006, at her home in Austin. She was born to Minerva (Coopwood) Lamb and Ray B. Lamb in Lockhart on Nov. 24, 1931.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Ann Reed and Kay (Reed) Arnold; her grandchildren, Sarah Arnold and Drew Arnold; her sister, Jean Benson and niece Sandy Benson and many friends she counted as family.
Anne believed in the idea that we should all “live, love and laugh.” She was very proud of her family and made sure they knew it. Her cheerleading ways started in high school in McAllen in the late 1940s and carried her throughout her life whether she was supporting her kids or grandkids. She had a very generous spirit and was often the life of any gathering, but her laughter will be missed the most.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at McCurdy Memorial Chapel. Interment followed in the Lockhart City Cemetery.
Arrangements were made under the care and guidance of McCurdy Funeral Home, 105 E. Pecan St., Lockhart, (512) 398-4791.
