Antonio N. Martinez

Mr. Antonio N. Martinez, age 72, passed away on Oct. 7, 2007 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer”s disease. He was born on July 1, 1935.
He is preceded in death by his father Matias Martinez; his mother Catalina Martinez; and his brother Lupe Juarez.

tias Martinez and wife Roberta of Lockhart, son, Antonio Martinez Jr. and wife Lydia of Lockhart, daughter Lydia Massion and husband Robert of Algonquin, Ill., and daughter Christina Moreno and husband Robert of Lockhart, along with thirteen grandchildren. Mr. Martinez is also survived by sisters Gregoria Chapa of Liberal, Kan., Mary Mata of Lockhart, Isabel Avalos of San Marcos and brothers Richard Martinez of Lockhart and Robert Martinez of Austin.
Mr. Martinez proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 – 1959. He worked for Gary Job Corps in San Marcos for 31 years to provide for his family.
Throughout his illness, Mr. Martinez never abandoned his faith in our Lord. He instilled his sense of honor, integrity and love of family in his children. We will forever miss our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. We are left brokenhearted, but we know that heaven rejoices because you are home.
