Berenice Castelan

Berenice Castelan, 17, of Lockhart, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, in Caldwell County. She was born on Dec. 2, 1991 to Angel and Rosa Castelan in Austin, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother Abat Jaimes.

Berenice is survived by her parents; brother, Angel Castelan; sisters, Nency Reza, Nelly Reza, Deime Castelan and Leslie Cast

elan; and grandparents: Gregorio Castelan, Maria Jaimes and Juan Jaimes.

The family received friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at the Lockhart High School Gymnasium, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at San Francisco Catholic Church, 9110 US Highway 183 South, Austin, Texas 78747, with Father Cesar Guzman Diaz officiating. Interment followed at Lockhart City Cemetery in Lockhart, Texas.
