Betty Geraldine “Gerry” Livengood

Betty Geraldine “Gerry” Livengood, age 80, of Lockhart, passed on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in Austin, Texas. She was born on June 7, 1924 in Lockhart, Texas to Albert W. Livengood II and Hertha Helena Marie Willms Livengood.
She was preceded in death by parents and brother, Albert W. Livengood, III.
She is survived by nephews, Burt Livengood, his wife Gail of Lockha

rt and their children Brynn, Whitney and Maura; and Mike Livengood, his wife Dorothy of Rio Grande City and their children Jason, Jessica and Zane; nieces, Jan Pittman, her husband Gary and their children Brandon and his wife Kristy, and Darren of Austin; Jill McCan, her husband Richard and their children Becki Parra and her husband J.P., Shalina and Justin; sister-in-law, Frances Livengood of Lockhart; great-great nephews; Nikolas Parra and Rio Pittman; great-great niece: Khristyn Parra.
She graduated from Baylor University, Class of 1945 with a Masters in Music; taught at the university for 39 years and retired in 1989. Then returned home to Lockhart in 1996.
Visitation was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at McCurdy Funeral Home. Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at McCurdy Memorial Chapel, Lockhart. Interment followed at the Lockhart City Cemetery, Rev. Wayne Walther, officiating.
Pallbearers in attendance were Gary Pittman, Brandon Pittman, Richard McCan, Justin McCan, J.P. Parra, Mike Livengood, Jason Livengood and Zane Livengood.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in her name to the Caldwell County Food Bank, Salvation Army or the charity of your choice.
