Blue Pearl welcomes entertainers Friday

Righteous Intonation, a 4-piece, San Antonio-based, Country Western band with a bluegrass skeleton, western guts, angelic voices, and fingers of white lightning will be headlining at The Blue Pearl Friday from 8-10 p.m.

The songs of Righteous Intonation are of westward expansion, riverboat tragedies, and gold-mining ghost towns are woven with a pure tapestry of warm harmonies, intertwining melody lines, and hearts that glitter more than Fort Knox gold.

Anna La Mare will open the evening’s entertainment from 7-8 p.m. Tender honest wayfaring Americana: as vulnerable as she is brave, she offers you a safe place to land within her stormy and poetic soundscape, she is nomadic, compassionate, and soulful.

Anna wears her heart on her sleeve, delivering her stories in a meaningful and enchanting way. Described as ‘emotional honey,’ folky Florence and the Machine, indie Joan Baez, and a soul-driven embodiment of Joni Mitchell,’ this singer / songwriter borne from many cultures is always on the move, picking up narratives and musical hearts in her wake. Her soul in her guitar case, her heart beating in step with those she meets along the way.
