Carol Ann Hubertus

Carol Ann Hubertus, 72, of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at the Eden Hill Nursing Home. She was born to Theo Halbardier and Marcella (Conrad) Halbardier in San Antonio, Texas, on Nov. 25, 1940.

She graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1959 and later from Durham Business College. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

She is

survived by her husband, Marvin Hubertus; son, Edward Hubertus and wife, Angela, of Stonewall, Texas; daughter, Catherine Medina and husband, Arnold, of Corpus Christi; son, Matthew Hubertus and wife, Nancy, of Cypress, Texas; brother, Gerald Halbardier and wife, Robbie; sisters, Margaret Neff and husband, Donald, Theresa Modgling and husband , Wayne, and Rosemary Bramble; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Halbardier.

Public visitation began at 5 p.m on Sunday at Zoeller Funeral Home with a Vigil Service and Rosary to be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Reverend Albert Hubertus celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at Comal. Memorial contributions may be given to Hope Hospice or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
