CASA of Central Texas Observes Child Abuse Prevention Month

CASA of Central Texas is proud to announce its
participation in Child Abuse Prevention Month this April. As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting and advocating for children, we will be hosting a series of proclamations and a special Dinner and Auction event on April 17th.
Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time to raise awareness about the critical issue of child abuse and neglect, and to promote the importance of community involvement in safeguarding our children. Throughout the month, CASA of Central Texas will be engaging with local leaders and community partners to emphasize the need for vigilance and proactive measures to prevent child abuse. Proclamations will be made by city and county officials across Central Texas, highlighting the significance of Child Abuse Prevention Month and recognizing the efforts of CASA, Child Protective Services, SJRC Texas I Belong, local Child Welfare Boards, and other community partners & stakeholders who work tirelessly to support vulnerable children. These proclamations serve as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to protect the well-being of our youngest citizens.
The Dinner and Auction event on April 17th, CASA Boogie Down Disco, promises to be an evening of inspiration and generosity. Held at The Chandelier of Gruene, the event will feature a seated dinner, live and silent auctions, and heartfelt stories from CASA supporters and those whose lives have been positively impacted by our programs. One featured speaker is a former foster youth who was served by CASA from 2013 to 2015. He will share the importance of the consistency and normalcy his CASA volunteer provided to him and his siblings during a time of uncertainty and chaos. Funds raised during the event will directly support CASA’s mission to provide trained advocates for children in foster care.
