Clarence Ray Plemons, 80 passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 18, 2013. He was born to Clifford S. Vaughn and Wilsie Ruple of Franklin, Tenn., on April 21, 1933.

Clarence served his country during the Korean War from 1952-1955. He served in the army as a mechanic in Germany. As a self-made man he came from simple means. He worked all his life as a machinist in different shops un

til in the 1980’s he opened Progressive Tooling, Inc. Since his retirement in 2005 he has been focusing on his first love for classic car restoration and spending time with family.

 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bobbie Jean Plemons; three children, Sandra Warren (Charles), Donna Mann (Jackie), and Bobby Ray. He is a proud grandfather of four, Amanda Broccolo (Mike), Jason Reeves, Jackie Lee Mann III (Jessi), and Kimberly Mann. Clarence also leaves behind three great-grandchildren and several other family members in the Nashville area.

Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 5 – 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart. Interment followed at Lytton Springs Cemetery in Lytton Springs.

    I am so sorry for your lost Mr. Clarence will be truly missed . He & my son Bryon spent a lot of time together. My prayers and thoughts go to you all. May God Bless You All.
