County annouces delinquent taxpayer list Dec. 8

An Austin-based law firm working to collect delinquent taxes in Caldwell County has prepared a random list of delinquent taxpayers.

The list contains the names and overdue tax amounts of more than 80 area property owners who owe amounts up to $35,000 in back taxes,

penalties and interest.

According to representatives, several of the individuals and properties named are already involved in foreclosure lawsuits. At least two properties have been seized for taxes and will be sold on the courthouse steps later this month.
