David (Wimpy) Juarez

David (Wimpy) Juarez
July 23, 1962 – January 8, 2026
David “Wimpy” Juarez, a shining light of love, joy and sunshine while dealing with his courageous battle with ongoing health issues and challenges, gained his heavenly wings and peacefully entered eternal life on Thursday, January 8, 2026, in Lockhart, Texas surrounded by his loving wife and his two (2) furry children, Coco and Luna.
He was the youngest of five (5) children born to Petra (Gonzalez) and Roman Juarez, on July 23, 1962.
He was a Lockhart High School Class of 1980 alumna. David’s warm and friendly nature was a treasure and gift to everyone who knew him. He was raised in the close-knit community of Lockhart, Texas, where he met and married the love of his life, Dolores Peralez-Juarez on November 29, 2008, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter and many cherished memories.
He was a proud and very passionate men’s softball player. David was often on a men’s softball field, sharing his love for the game with friends and family.
His competitive streak and spirit was balanced with his sportsmanship, his playful banter on and off the field, where he earned the respect and love among his teammates and opponents. His presence at any men’s softball game or tournament brought joy, camaraderie and laughter at every game. His absence will be deeply felt and missed within the men’s softball community.
David played men’s softball until his health didn’t allow him to play anymore but was always there to cheer and support his softball teams during games and tournaments. He was so passionate about men’s softball, that through the years, he mentored many young men with men’s softball techniques. His reward in mentoring these young men was when he would see these young men and they would thank him for taking the time to teach them the love of men’s softball.
Those who knew David will cherish and remember his genuine kindness that made him a treasured friend. David had a special ability to connect with people on a personal level, leaving his legacy of friendship, laughter and love that will always live in the hearts of those who knew him.
David was known for his humor, his wit, his kindness, his unique smile, and laughter, his dance moves (he was definitely an awesome dancer), his sharp-dress attire, his stylish hats and his love of men’s softball.
He possessed good work ethics, respect for his elders and the willingness to give a helping hand when needed.
David is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother David Juarez, loving aunt Rosa Gonzalez, brother-in-law Alan Johnson, mother-in-law Lola (Alfaro) Peralez, sister-in-law Sally (Peralez) Garcia and his devoted fur baby Wiggles.
He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of seventeen (17) years, Dolores Peralez-Juarez, his daughter Niki Rodriguez (Richard), and his sons John David Juarez and Zachary Juarez. His cherished grandchildren Sofia, Elijah, Jamerson and Santino. His brothers Carlos Juarez (Kathy), Delfino Juarez (Vera) and his sister Lupe Juarez-Johnson, his father-in-law Felix Peralez, Sr., brother-in-law Felix Peralez, Jr. and sister-in-law Nancy Peralez and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The friendships and love you shared with many near and far will always be cherished. We can only imagine the beautiful welcome he received from his heavenly family, friends and Wiggles.
David has now left this earthly journey, leaving the warmth of his love that will remain forever.
