Elgin Lady Wildcats defeat Lady Lions 75-54

The Lady Lions hosted the Elgin Lady Wildcats at the Lion’s Den on Friday, Jan. 16 and lost another district game with a final score of 75-54.

The Lady Lions started strong, keeping up with the Lady Wildcats through out the first half of play.

The first quarter ended with Elgin ahead by one shot and a score of 22-20


The second quarter was more of the same. Both teams fought hard for the ball and made as many shots as they could, ending the first half at 34-30 with Elgin in the lead.

The Elgin Lady Wildcats came out with a purpose after the halftime break and kept the Lady Lions from scoring while adding points to the board. The third ended at 55-39.

The fourth quarter was tough for the Lady Lions who tried to stay in the game by adding 15 final points. The Lady Wildcats scored 20 in the fourth ending the game at 75-54.

The Lady Lions will travel to Kyle to face the Lehman Lady Lobos on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
