Evelyn LaGrone

Evelyn L. LaGrone of Lockhart, passed away on Aug. 20, 2012, at the age of 88. She was born on Sept. 9, 1923, in Wiergate, Texas, to Clay Martin and Arra Helen Scott Miller.

Evelyn and Charles were high school sweethearts. They were both lifetime members of Apostolic Pentecostal Church. She was also a member of the Garden Club and Art Club, were her paintings were displayed

at the First National Bank 20 years ago. She loved to read her bible and also loved to do any kind of crafts.

Her parents, brother, Thurman Miller and sister-in-law, Lois Miller preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles R. LaGrone; one son, Ronnie LaGrone and wife, Debbie, of San Antonio; one daughter, Ginger Pieper and husband, Elroy, of San Antonio; one brother, Vernon Miller and wife, Kathleen; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, with at service to follow at 11 a.m. with Chris Clements and Tim Delano officiating. Interment to follow at Lockhart City Cemetery.
