Local Non-Profit Feria de Culturas will be sponsoring their Annual Dia de Los Muertos Community Altar as part of First Friday festivities on November 1, 2019. The celebration honors the lives of deceased loved ones by placing an altar adorned with pictures of the dearly departed, their favorite foods, sugar skulls, along with candles and marigold flowers. The Keep Lockhart Beautiful Cleanup is set for its 12th year in 2019. This is Lockhart's premier community service opportunity for families, students, organizations and businesses. All cleanup volunteers are encouraged to gather at the Lockhart City Park Main Pavilion by no later than 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 to confirm your project and litter drop-off locations, turn in safety sheets, and collect additional supplies. Hands Down one of the Best Free Events to do around the Holidays in Lockhart! This is our 4th year, and every year we have more participants. It's SO SIMPLE, and only takes about an hour. Bring 6 handmade crafts or homemade baked goods. It's important that the items be somewhat artisan. No macaroni picture frames, or candy cane reindeer.
