Fire destroys Martindale home
Carl Kieffer’s Martindale home, along with two other buildings and two vehicles were destroyed in a wind-fueled fire that started on the morning of March 13 on Southeast River Road. The converted barn was made of old wood planks built in the 1930s. Firefighters from the Martindale and Lockhart fire departments eventually extinguished the fire. Photo by Sissy Taylor
