Francis Allen Burditt, Jr., 76, was born on July 3, 1933, in Robstown, Texas, to F. Allen Burditt and Kathrine Parr Burditt and passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Burditt, of Lockhart, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Parr, of Lockhart and Robstown, Texas; a sister, Betty Lou Bur

ditt; and, in 1987, his wife of 33 years, Judy Rambo Burditt.

He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Sidney (Kathy) Otahal and Mrs. Ed (Brandy) Shores; three grandsons, Timothy Allen Otahal, Ross Burditt Shores and Jack Burditt Shores; and one granddaughter, Kathrine Cecilia Otahal; favorite cousin, Lee Parr Phipps.

Allen graduated from Robstown High School in 1950 and attended Texas A&M and SWTSTC. He was a retired farmer, a life-long resident of Robstown, Texas, and member of First United Methodist Church.

Memorial services were conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in Robstown with Pastor Barbara Dyke officiating.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. L.A. “Larry” Stone, Roger Ross Butler, George Wayne Paschal, Cecil Wright, Bill Harwell and David Hoffstadt.

Among his close friends were the late J.E. “Corky” Thompson, Bennett Hefte and Bob Milstead.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the First United Methodist Church in Robstown or to their favorite charity.
