Francisco Villalpando

Mr. Francisco Villalpando died at the age of 74 at the Christopher House in Austin, Texas, on Sept. 19, 2008. He was born in Lockhart on April 21, 1934 to Jose and Marta Villalpando.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Celia Torres (Marcelino) and Gregoria Martinez; brothers: Ricardo and Esteban (Servanda) Villalpando; and grand-daughter, Ariel Mirza.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Yolanda Villalpando, of Lockhart; four daughters: Irma Gutierrez, of Luling; Selina (Joe) Mirza, of Pflugerville; Belia (Jeffery) Warling, and Sylvia (Vincent) Rodriguez, of Lockhart; grandchildren: Ursula (Ben) Flores, Micael Mirza, Jeffrey Warling, Amanda Millican, Audie Gutierrez and Angela Warling; one brother and sister-in-law, Juan and Petra Villalpando; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the rosary was at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept., 22, 2008, at the DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial followed in Lockhart City Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Marcelino Torres, John Torres, Sixto Lozano, Robert Perez, Albert Rangel and Luis Aguilar.
