Geraldine “Jerry” Thompson

Geraldine “Jerry” Thompson, 76, of Prairie Lea, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006. She was born on July 15, 1929, in Austin to Earl B. Caffey, Sr. and Effie Lee (Bryant) Caffey.
Geraldine was married to Gene E. Thompson on April 1, 1949, in Houston. She was a homemaker and a member of the Prairie Lea Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her par

ents, Earl and Effie Caffey, and by two brothers.
Geraldine is survived by her husband, Gene E. Thompson of Prairie Lea; son, Charles W. Thompson of Pasadena, Texas; daughters, Earline M. Turner and Janet L. Caddell, both of Prairie Lea; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at McCurdy Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at the Prairie Lea Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Densman officiating. Interment will follow in Fentress Cemetery.
