Glenn Roy Simms

Glenn Roy Simms, 51, of Lockhart, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at the Christopher House in Austin. He was born in Hempstead, Texas, on April 28, 1955, to Leroy and Earlene (Hasty) Simms.
Glenn served for 18 months in the United States Army. He earned his General Education Degree and was trained as a Heating and Air Conditioning technician. He was an avid outdoo

rsman and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Glenn is survived by his parents, Leroy and Earlene Simms of Lockhart; his son, Tony Simms of Tulsa, Okla.; his sister, Vicky Lynn Brockett and her husband Kenneth of Lockhart; and one grandchild, Haley Marie Simms of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, in the McCurdy Memorial Chapel with Rev. Les Carter officiating. Interment followed in Bunton Cemetery in Dale. Pallbearers were Gary Smith, Brian Hutcheson, Wayne Bennett, Travis Haddock, Kenneth Krob and Kenneth Brockett.
