Grace Smith

The family of Grace Smith announces the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

Grace was born in The Centerpoint Community of Copiah County, Miss., and was the oldest sister of two brothers, Frank and Tommy, and one sister, Dot, of Vicksburg, Miss. Dot traveled via AirDot to be with Grace for a few precious hours and

has been a blessing to us all.

Grace was preceded by her father and mother, Frank and Lucille; brothers, Frank and Tommy; and by her beloved husband of 47 years, Winnon.

Grace is survived by daughter, Sandy and husband, Ron, her son, James W. Smith, Jr., and wife, Amelia, and her daughter, Shirley, and husband, Clayton.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Amy and husband, Chip, Lucy, Andy and wife, Velma, Winn, Danny and wife, Daisy, Lee Katherine and Jenni, and eight great-grandchildren: Dustin and wife, Sarah, Michael, Brooks, Katey, Emily, Caed, Kira and Charlie.

A visitation with the family was held on Sunday evening, March 23, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, from 5 – 7 p.m. Services were on Monday morning, March 24, at 11 a.m., at McCurdy.
