Hoops play continues for Lions, Lady Lions

The Lockhart Lady Lions fell 52-38 to Kerrville Tivy Friday night in district play, dropping their district record to 2-5.
Kerrville Tivy pulled away in the first quarter, leading 19-10 before outscoring the Lady Lions 27-10 in the next two frames to ice the game.
Lockhart found a groove in the fourth quarter, besting Tivy 18-6 in that frame.
Princess Daniels scored 15 and Kara Pickle added 12 to power the Lady Lions.
The Lady Lions game at Seguin was rescheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 16. Results were unavailable at press time.

Boys still looking for first district win
The Lockhart Lions are still winless in district play, falling 40-21 against Kerrville Tivy on the road on Friday.
Prior to the Tivy loss, the boys strung together two close losses: a 46-40 decision against Medina Valley and a 51-50 loss on the road against Marble Falls.
The Lions were set to host Seguin Wednesday night. Results were unavailable at press time.
