James T. Westbrook
James Trenton “Bubba” Westbrook, 35, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, in Austin, Texas. He was born July 26, 1973, in Georgetown to James Allen and Barbara Joan Millegan Westbrook.
He is a 1991 graduate of Luling High School and a member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved his nephews as his own children.

Bubba never met a stranger. He was a very personable man and he was loved by all who knew him.
Bubba started his career in law enforcement as a reserve officer with the City of Luling Police Department; he had been a deputy with the Hays County Sheriff’s Department and was working as a Sergeant with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office in the County Jail.
He is survived by his parents, Barbara J. and James A. Westbrook, of Harwood; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carroll Ann Stevens (Wayne), of Harwood, Robin Renee Gray, of Katy, and Tammy Juanelle Koenning (Wallace), of Hempstead; six nephews: Dylan Gray, Cody Stevens, Trace Koenning, Shane Stevens, Blake Koenning and Garrett Stevens; his dear friend, Leeanne Graham, of Candadian, and his English Bulldog puppy, Gracie.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the O’Bannon Funeral Home with Mr. Frank Berthold officiating. Interment followed in McNeil Cemetery.
