Jane Andre

Jane Andre, of Lockhart, Texas, passed from this earth into the arms of God after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer on the morning of Jan. 11, 2006. She was 70 years old.
Jane was born in Houston, Texas on Feb. 20, 1935 to Lillard and Macy Taylor. Jane married the love of her life, Ron Andre, on Aug. 4, 1964. Ron and Jane welcomed their proudest accomplishment,

son Christopher Jon, on April 21, 1973.
Jane was a hobbyist of numerous interests. She was an amazing seamstress, loved all animals-from box turtles to horses, made the best chocolate cake, played piano and sang in the church choir and loved to learn and stare at the stars. Jane loved to fish, particularly off her brother Larry”s boat on the Texas coast. Jane was a generous soul who never knew a stranger, and lived her life faithful to the Lord.
Jane is survived by her beloved husband, Ron, of Lockhart; son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Katy Andre of Austin; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Sandi Taylor of San Antonio; Aunt Helen Meyer of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as her cherished grand-dog, Roscoe.
Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 with Rev. Bob Hahn officiating. Interment followed in the Lockhart City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Bowie Wheeler, Daryl Erickson, Trey Schroeder, Jason Scanlan, Michael Stansberry, and Lee McCasland.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice Austin Christopher House.
