Joshua Hugh “Josh” Rosson, resident of Arlington, Tenn., and Rosson Construction Company carpenter departed this life Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 18, 2013 at the Jefferson County Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Ark. He was 25 years of age and died unexpectedly of natural causes.

Services of remembrance for Mr. Rosson were scheduled at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22 at the Peebles

West Funeral Chapel at Oakland, Tenn., with Rev. Ricky Burns officiating, and interment following in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery at Oakland. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland, Tenn.

Mr. Rosson was born April 28, 1988, in Dallas, the son of Lloyd Hugh Rosson, Jr. and the former Melissa Carol Bay. He received his education in the Caldwell County, Texas, Public School System and moved to Shelby County, Tenn. He was a graduate of Bolton High School in Memphis, Tenn.

He was employed for ten years at the Rosson Construction Company in Arlington at the time of his death. He was a Methodist in faith and enjoyed sports that included golf, water activities that included fishing, tinkering with old carts and collected Hot Wheels.

 

Mr. Rosson is survived by his son, Jackson Hugh Rosson of Arlington, Tenn.; his parents, Lloyd H. Rosson, of Arlington, and Melissa C. Rosson, of Temple, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Jean Bay, of Harker Heights; his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth South of Memphis, Tenn.; and his fiancée, Jeri Nicole Ellis, of Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Lloyd Rosson, for the Benefit of Jackson H. Rosson Scholarship Fund, c/o Bancorp South, 6800 Highway 64, Oakland, Tenn., 38060.
