Kirk Jackson
Kirk Jackson passed away in Lockhart on Jan. 14, 2014, at the age of 87. He was born in Lockhart and graduated from Lockhart High School in 1944.
He enrolled at Texas A&M and after completing several courses he enlisted in the Marine Corps. After the war, Kirk finished his education in San Marcos obtaining his business degree. He then applied and was chosen to manage a P
X store in Berlin, Germany.
He lived in Germany for several years. After returning home, he sold new cars in Bastrop for a few years before starting his own car dealership in Lockhart, which he ran for over 50 years, much of that time as a Chrysler Plymouth Dodge dealer. Kirk is widowed by Edna Jackson, his wife of 55 years.
He is also survived by his two sons, Mark and James; grandsons, Lance and Johnny Jackson; granddaughters Jessica Patton, Jennifer and Malorie Jackson.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2014, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to the Eugene Clark Library in the name of Kirk and Edna Jackson.
