Lady Lions take third at Victoria

   The Lockhart Lions and Lady Lions golf teams teed it up at The Club at Colony Creek in Victoria this past Friday and Saturday, September 12–13, for the Victoria ISD Fall Classic. Both squads put together solid performances, and the Lady Lions brought home some hardware with a third-place team finish.

     Leading the charge was Zoie Ledesma, who stayed cool under pressure and earned a fifth-place finish overall. Her strong play set the tone for the Lady Lions, who battled through two days of tough competition to claim their spot on the leaderboard.

      The Lions also turned in a good effort, gaining valuable experience on a challenging course. With their fall season underway, both the boys’ and girls’ teams are showing plenty of promise, and if this tournament is any sign, it could be an exciting year ahead for Lockhart golf.
