Lavada Malicoat
Lavada Earlene Wallace Malicoat, 76 of Lockhart, died Sept. 17, 2017. She was born to Carmen Gertrude Hetherly and Samuel Earl Wallace on Oct. 13, 1941, in Lockhart, Texas. Lavada was united in marriage on Feb. 10, 1959, in Seguin, Texas to her husband of 58 years, Clarence Wayne Malicoat of Lytton Springs, Texas.
Lavada enjoyed many things in life, such as: baking, gardening, birds, flowers, hosting family events and admiring her prized jewelry collection. She loved more than anything, her family time creating glorious memories.
Lavada was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darrell Erens and sisters, Judy Cox, Delores Lawrence and Sammie Anderson.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence; son, Randall Wayne Malicoat, Sr., of Lockhart; grandchildren, Randall Wayne Malicoat, Jr., of Austin, Krystie Nicole Malicoat, of Austin, and Emilio Martinez, Jr. of Lytton Springs; six great-grandchildren: James O. Martinez, Jacob Xavier Martinez, Savana N. Martinez, Brianna J. Martinez, Johnathan T. Martinez and Henry Wayne Malicoat, all of Austin; as well as countless nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Visitation was held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the service following at noon at McCurdy Funeral Home. Burial followed to the Lockhart City Cemetery.
