Leonard C. Petrosky
Leonard C. Petrosky, 81, of Lockhart, away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2008 in San Marcos, Texas. He was born in Maxwell, Texas, on Nov. 17, 1926 to Bruno and Clara (Rhode) Petrosky.
Mr. Petrosky was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Melinda Sorrells; and brothers, Wilson “Bill” Petrosky and Bruno “Pete” Petrosky.
He served the citizens of the City of Lockhart and C
aldwell County for over 20 years as a policeman and for 20 of those years as the Chief of Police. After becoming a police officer he continued to be a farmer and a rancher. He also served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Minnie Homann Petrosky; sisters, Beatrice Daugherty and Vivian Crupper; son, Wayne Lee Petrosky; daughters, Carol Diane Odell and husband, Wayne; Diana Arrington and husband, Troy; grandchildren, Sheri Harper, Tim Harper, Rabecca Nicole Christie and Alyssa Leigh Arrington; great-grandchildren, Timothy James Harper, Jr., and Ashley Shea Harper. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at McCurdy Chapel with Elder Vance Rodgers officiating. Burial followed in the Lockhart City Cemetery in Lockhart.
Serving as pallbearers were Lyndon Homann, Larry Homann, Donald Petrosky, Alton Petrosky, Clifton Johnson, Richard Homann, Ernest Homann and Don Dailey.
