Letters – Reader praises concert hosts

To the Editor:
I wish to commend Gene Galbraith and the Board of the Southwest Museum of Clocks and Watches for providing a new performance venue for the music lovers of Central Texas.
A recent concert given by the exceptionally talented duo, Kara McGregor and Austin Haller, surpassed all expectations. In addition to the energetic renditions of a variety of show

tunes, the audience was treated to delicious ice cream from Stewart McGregor’s fledgling micro-creamery.
Johnnie Lay provided the upright piano used to accompany the songs.
All in all, a great time was enjoyed by a full house of music aficionados, some of whom traveled from Austin for the concert.
