In answer to Debra Moody’s letter in the May 28, 2009 issue of the Lockhart Post-Register: I also noticed the absences of our elected officials at the National Day of Prayer on the first Thursday of May. Individual, personal letters of invitation were mailed to each of them several weeks in advance, hoping that they would make special arrangements to m

eet with the community during their lunchtime breaks.
Yes, they were notably missed!
