To the Editor:
This year, Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will award 20 trade and technical scholarships to graduating high school seniors in our service area. The one-time, $2,000 scholarships will help students who are seeking certificates from vocational programs or associate degrees from two-year colleges.

Applying is easy. Simply go to www.bluebonnetelectri

c.coop, drop by one of our Member Service Centers, or pick one up from your high school’s counselors. Students must meet the eligibility requirements for the scholarship (must be a Bluebonnet member) and follow the instructions when completing the application. Applications must be turned in to Bluebonnet by 5 p.m., March 19, 2010. Scholarship winners will be announced April 9, 2010.

I encourage all eligible seniors who are interested in continuing their education after graduating from high school to apply for Bluebonnet’s trade and technical scholarship. It’s a wonderful opportunity that will help students and parents realize their dreams.

Sincerely,
Joyce Buckner
Lockhart
